Curriculum

We have designed a curriculum to support this holistic philosophy of the Alleghany East Conference (AEC) Student Creed.

Bible — During grades K-8 students will cover the entire Bible (Old and New Testaments), it structure, relevance to everyday life, Bible stories, the plan of salvation, memory gems including the Ten Commandments, the Lord's Prayer, and the Beatitudes.

 

Fine Arts - Visual Arts (art history, art appreciation, and creating works of art using a variety of media); Music (theory, history, and performance)

Language Arts - Listening and Oral Language (primary grades); Reading; Writing; Reference Skills (library and online)

Mathematics - Number Sense and Operations (calculations); Algebra; Geometry; Measurements; Statistic and Probability

Physical Education - Spiritual Emphasis; Motor Skills (physical activities and games); Lifestyle and Fitness; Sportsmanship

Reach — (Reading to Educate All Children for Heaven) A differentiated instruction used to help meet students where they are and help them move forward.

Science - Life; Health; Earth; Physical; Scientific Inquiry

Social Studies - History; Civics and Government; Geography; Economics; Sociology

Technology - Application; Communication; Lifestyle and Career; Ethics; Solutions
